Psalm 103 - Sample from “Praying the Psalms with Beads”

Psalm 103

In this psalm of praise, David reflects on the goodness and faithfulness of God
throughout history and into the future.

CROSS.  Bless the LORD, O my soul; let all that is within me bless God’s holy
name. Praise the LORD, and forget not all God’s benefits.

INV.    You, LORD, forgive all our sins and heal all our diseases; you redeem
our life from the grave and crown us with love and compassion.

❖1 You satisfy us with good things and renew our youth like an
eagle’s. You vindicate the oppressed with just decrees. You
revealed yourself to Moses, your works to the children of Israel.
⚫ You are gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding
                 in love.

❖2 You will not always accuse us, nor reward us according to our
sins. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so is your mercy
great upon your servants. As far as east is from west,
⚫ That far, O LORD, you have removed our sins from us.

❖3 You remember that we are made of mere dust, and our life is like
the grass. We flourish like a flower in the field; but when the
wind blows, it is gone, as if it had never existed.
⚫ As a father cares for his children, O LORD, so you care for us.

❖4 Your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever to those who
revere your name. Your righteousness extends in all generations
to those who follow your commandments. You have set your
           throne in heaven.
⚫ O LORD, your kingship has dominion over everything.

❖ Bless the LORD, all you angels, you mighty ones who do God’s
bidding, and hearken to the LORD’s voice.

INV.  Praise the LORD, all you hosts of the Most High, all you ministers
who carry out God’s will.

CROSS.  Bless the LORD, all created things of God’s dominion; bless the
LORD, O my soul.
